Say no to a hightech phone

Although it may not seem possible with the high-tech status of phones today, cheap cellular phones are still available. A lot of people, including me, don't want fancy features such as FM radios, PDA's etc. on their phones.

Having said that, Cellular phones have now become a very essential tool for just about everyone. People from even the remotest parts of the world now own them.

This technology has changed the way business is carried out and for our lives in general. Gone are the days when they were toys to show off because they have now become a necessity. Whilst most phones can do a variety of things that could be considered non essential, it is still possible to obtain a no-frills cell phone.

Not everyone can afford these new very high-tech phones, even if they wanted one so they have no choice but to buy a cheap cellular phone. As long as you know the limitations it will have, you won't be disappointed. Merely being able to send and receive calls may be enough for you and all that you expect from it.

Call only facilities would be very unusual on today's cheap cellular phones, on even the most very basic but if that is all you need then you won't mind. It may be a basic phone but that does not mean you should skimp on its ability to receive and send calls as this may possibly be the most important reason for having your cell phone in the first place.

Sending and receiving text messages may be available, although this may only be on a limited basis. Finding a phone that has a good text messaging capacity, will be better for you.

Sending and receiving emails may not be available but then you do not need it much anyway. Although, if you are someone that does use email a great deal and wants this ability from the phone, it may not be possible with a cheap cellular phone.

If you can afford a cell phone plan that provides a free phone, you may not need to search for an inexpensive model because the free phone may have a reasonable range of features. This is a viable option as cell phone plan deals happen all the time, especially when they want to make room for the latest models. If you can find a good deal from a provider, you will not need to content yourself with an inferior phone.

It doesn't matter what you intend to purchase, the internet is a great place to research, compare and find what you are looking for plus you will usually find whatever you want within the budget you set for yourself.

Not everyone wants an expensive cell or mobile phone

Not everyone wants to own an expensive phone. Some people still prefer a cheap cellular phone and it is still possible to find models if you don't mind looking around. Things have changed as these cellular phones have become part of our everyday lives and people from even the remotest parts of the world now own them.

Around the world, business can be carried out almost anywhere and at anytime with technology that would have been difficult to contemplate even ten years ago. Gone are the days when they were toys to show off because they have now become a necessity. Although some cell phones can perform many different functions, there are also those basic telephones that are available if you are on a budget.

Not everyone can afford these new very high-tech phones, even if they wanted one so they have no choice but to buy a cheap cellular phone. As long as you know the limitations it will have, you won't be disappointed. Strangely not all of us actually want our cell phones to do everything they do today and may only need their phone to send and receive calls.

Although it is unlikely, a basic cheap cellular phone may only give you the most basic of facilities. I suppose if making calls is secondary to the reason you have a cell phone then signal reception won't matter but it will if the only reason for the phone is to make and receive calls.

Even text messaging or SMS has improved but don't expect you basic model to have these functions even though it will be able to send and receive text messages. The text messaging function on the more modern, even if it is a bottom of the range phone, will be more than adequate for the average persons needs.

Don't expect to buy an inexpensive phone with an email function although the chances are you won't use it anyway. Although, if you are someone that does use email a great deal and wants this ability from the phone, it may not be possible with a cheap cellular phone.

From time to time, you will see really good cell phone plan deal advertised, so why not wait for one of these and get a more expensive phone as part of the package. Most network companies have these promotions on cell phone plans from time to time so it will be worth considering if you would prefer a better phone. This could be a good thing for you and it means all that searching and researching won't have to be carried out.

Don't forget that no matter what you intend to buy or services you intend to use, that good honest online research is the key to its success and if you are working to a budget it can make the difference between success and failure.

Constant Change in the Cell phone industry

The nature of the cell phone industry is one of constant change so it is not surprising that cell phone users can become confused. It can be very difficult keeping up with all the latest functions that you ‘can't possibly do without'. So you won't get caught in a ‘decision trap', become educated before you make your next phone purchase; there are some important but basic facts, which every buyer should know, in this article.

Many people use up every last drop of energy before they recharge and this really is to be avoided. There is nothing worse than finding out your cell phone battery is no longer holding a charge for very long as you seem to be recharging it constantly and you will probably need a new one.

One easy way to extend the life of a cell phone battery is to turn off the back light or reduce the brightness just so you can see what you need to on the screen. Some areas of the country always have poor signal strength and coverage but it will still try to find a signal; however this uses up a great deal of your cell phone battery power so if you find yourself in an area like this, just turn it off until you find a better reception. The more you talk, the quicker the battery will drain; this is also true for times your cell phone is connected to the Internet, downloading games or playing music for example.

Don't forget that nothing is free and although you may have been allowed to download a few new wallpapers and ring tones when you bought your phone, if you do not cancel this, they will continue to send them to you at regular intervals and charge you accordingly. As far as children are concerned, parents should look for a facility where they can disable this feature or ensure that only the parent can order them.

Before you make a decision on a cell phone it is worth considering how many minutes you will use per month and whether it will be worth arranging for a pay-per use agreement or a pay monthly contract which could be for twelve or twenty four months. The price for each type of contract needs to be looked at carefully but as a general rule the more often you use the phone the more sensible a long term contract will be. Many features are specific to certain plans so you will need to think about how you intend to use the phone to have the best features you require as part of your contract.

It is always a good idea once you are happy that your plan supplies everything you need so check the small print in case there are any further costs not immediately apparent that will be payable once you have signed on the dotted line. Some companies will replace your phone if it breaks or is lost or stolen so consider the insurance warranty before buying because they are typically carried around everywhere; which means they can easily get broken or damaged and a warranty will give you peace of mind.

If you decide to buy your cell phone on the Internet, make sure it is not an old or outgoing model unless you do not mind of course; otherwise you may find it doesn't have all the features you want included.

Mobile phone technology advances

About the only piece of technology that now advances faster than that of computers is the cell phone but this can annoy many buyers; it can be very difficult keeping up with all the latest functions that you ‘can't possibly do without'. Buyers need help with this problem so they make the correct choice and not end up with a phone they don't need; this article hopes to address the situation.

Sometimes we delay charging as we are too busy and this often means the phone fails but leaving recharging like this isn't a good idea. Unfortunately, this can cause many problems with your cell phone battery and could shorten the life of your battery between charges to the point where you're charging more than you're talking!

The back light is the second biggest power drain of any cell phone battery but this can be either turned off or use the auto back light off function if your phone is supplied with one. Some areas of the country always have poor signal strength and coverage but it will still try to find a signal; however this uses up a great deal of your cell phone battery power so if you find yourself in an area like this, just turn it off until you find a better reception. Today's cell phones have many more functions and if you spend a great deal of time surfing the Internet or listening to music, the battery deplete earlier than it should, possibly just when you need to use to speak to someone.

Whilst downloading new ring tones and wallpaper is a great idea, many people are given free sample but forget they will be charged for the rest that are download automatically, sometimes without their knowledge. If you purchase one for your child, find out if you can block these features or find out if there's a way that you as a parent can order features, but your child cannot.

Cell phone plans are generally available where you pay only when it is used or through a contract that supplies a pre-agreed amount of minutes per month. It really does depend on the type of user you are as infrequent users benefit from the 'pay per use' plans. Weigh the prices of both types of agreements before signing on the dotted line because if you plan to use your phone regularly, then a long-term contract might be worth it. Consider the features you want, as long-term plans often have more features for less money or even as a bonus, at no charge; so ask if all your features, such as caller ID, will work when roaming.

Many companies now offer phones online and do not have physical stores; these will often have late model cell phones that you may find it hard to find accessories for so ensure you trust the supplier before you buy.

Cheap Cell Phones with Limited Functionality

Providing you don't mind limited functionality, it is still possible to find a cheap cellular phone. Statistics have shown there is in fact a growing demand for them. Almost everyone uses a cellular phone now and there are almost no age barriers for their use. People from even the remotest parts of the world now own them.

Business caught on to the bug quickly and I have no doubt that it has revolutionized the way companies work plus it has saved them a great deal of money. Whilst many of them are still seen as toys with some of the functions they how have, there is no doubt that they are no longer viewed as just playthings. Whilst most phones can do a variety of things that could be considered non essential, it is still possible to obtain a no-frills cell phone.

How many people actually use all the wonderful facilities one of the new cell phones come equipped with especially when the vast majority would probably be just as happy with a cheap cellular phone. As long as you know the limitations it will have, you won't be disappointed. It's like buying a huge top-of-the-range SUV that only gets used once a year; if you only need a phone that makes and receives calls a basic model will be enough.

As time moves on even really cheap cellular phones are able to do more but don't be upset if yours really is only a basic model. The most important thing to check with a basic cell phone is whether or not you will get a strong signal because if this is the only reason you need it for, it is also the most important.

Sending and receiving text messages may be available, although this may only be on a limited basis. Finding a phone that has a good text messaging capacity, will be better for you.

Although an email facility on phones has been around for some time, very few people actually use it and it is not likely your inexpensive phone will have that function. This may be something you need to consider if it is an important function as cheap cell phones probably won't have that capability.

However, you may find that you won't actually need to search for an inexpensive phone as a good call cell phone plan package which includes a decent cell phone, may become available. It is quite common for these special cell phone plan deals because many are getting ready for new launches so it could mean that you have a good quality cell phone for very little cost. You could kiss that basic phone goodbye if this sort of package becomes available.

Don't forget that no matter what you intend to buy or services you intend to use, that good honest online research is the key to its success and if you are working to a budget it can make the difference between success and failure.

Mobile Ringtones are in fashion

One of the more recent ways to personalize your phone is to have an individual cellular phone ring tone; whilst this popularity is good for the phone manufacturers, it has also created a lucrative after sales market for other companies. The reason behind this is to give personality to your phone, so you can flaunt your high-tech gadget to the world. Because of the entertaining effect of ring tones and cellular phone wallpapers, computer experts and cell phone manufacturers are quick to design software and gadgets that provide easy installation.

Owing to this surge in popularity devices like the ring tone converter were born to assist with the installation. These are useful devices that also help with downloading the sound files from special web sites.

To ensure no-one misses out the cellular phone ring tone converters can be used with phones from virtually all manufacturers. Older phones probably won't have this conversion facility but they may have a version of their own built into the phone itself. Newer ring tone converters no longer require cables or even infrared connections to transfer these files.

If you are serious about personalizing your phone you could try finding one with fully functional sound composer. This is not as gimmicky as you think with many really good ring tones having started out as a creation of someone with a ring tone composer. Editing sounds and converting your favorite song into a cellular phone ring tone is easy with modern software.

Sounds that can be sued on phones are also available at an ever increasing number of internet web sites which now cater for the almost insatiable desire for this new craze. Some sites download the ring tone via SMS, others with the converter and some still use the old fashioned way of downloading it to your personal computer.

Having all this information, you may go to various internet sites and look for the best monophonic or polyphonic sounds, which you may feel are suitable for your cell phone. All you have to do is check that your phone can use the software supplied and after that whether, it won't matter if it's a new cellular phone ring tone or wallpaper, you probably won't come have any problems.
